SAD REALITY:
Other supporters, including Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, novelist Alice Walker and actor Danny Glover will join a 'rolling" fast, a relay in which 2,700 activists pledge to refuse food for at least 24 hours, and then hand over to a comrade.

COMMENTARY:
Gone are the days of Gandhi,... of true self sacrifice for a good cause. Now Hollywood can make a statement when Susan, foregoes her double latte, for a day long shopping spree in Beverly Hills, canceling her Brunch date with Mike Moore (he didn't need to eat anyway),... And tops off the evening with just one nite-cap in lieu of the typical 4 or 5.... Only to hand it off to another Hollywood 'star' for the next 24 hr 'Struggle for life'...

And the article quotes them as saying "Now it is time to bring the pain and suffering of war home. We are putting our bodies on the line for peace." I don't know about you but I am humbled in the face of such sacrifice....
I want the troops home. But if I am going to go on a hunger strike it wont be as part of a Richard Simmons 'Deal a Meal' bad hand.... Or shuffle mistake... It will be something that actually is a sacrifice...
