Well Well, what a gap,... but Im back.. just before I leave again..
Its been a long week prepping for the big world tour...
The virgina crew left yesterday, it was lots of fun, and a bit sad when they left knowing it may be a while until we see them again.. (by then the baby will be born!!)

SO the countdown is T-2 days.. I lift off on Friday... its should be a hell of a trip...
As Jimmy Buffett would say... "I'm heading off this morning to the far side of the world"....

James William Buffett was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi (Jackson County Memorial Hospital) son of James Delaney Buffett Jr and Mary Loriane (Peets)

September 1964 to May 1965
Jimmy attends Auburn University. He pledged with the Sigma Pi fraternity, Alpha-Delta chapter. It was there that Jimmy learned how to play guitar from another Sigma Pi pledge. Unfortunately, the guitar playing overtook studying and he only lasted a year at Auburn.

1965
Attends Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Mississippi

1966
Transfers to the University of Southern Mississippi.

1967
Jimmy gets initiated into the Kappa Sigma fraternity, Epsilon-Nu Chapter. He formed a small band and played social occasions with members of the fraternity, including Rick Bennett and Doug Duncan.

1969
Earns a Bachelor of Science degree in history and journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Jimmy moves to the New Orleans French Quarter and plays clubs on Bourbon Street with the cover band Upstairs Alliance.

Jimmy marries his first wife Margie Washichek.

A White Sport Coat & A Pink Crustacean is released. It contains the song Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw which was written by Jimmy using the alias Marvin Gardens. It's the first album that Greg "Fingers" Taylor and Micheal Utley appeared on.

Living & Dying In 3/4 Time is released and the song Come Monday breaks the Top 30 pop charts.

Jimmy does the soundtrack for movie Rancho Deluxe and has a role in the film.

The Coral Reefer Band hits the road with Jimmy for their first tour during the summer.

Jimmy buys a boat, The Euphoria, and sails away to the Caribbean Islands with Jane.

High Cumberland Jubilee is finally released after the master tapes are found.

Changes In Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes becomes Buffett's first platinum album. He also scored his only top ten single with Margaritaville.

Jimmy's sea plane "the Flying Boat" is shot at by the Jamaica police who mistaken him for a drug smuggler. U2's Bono was in the plane with him at the time. Jimmy wrote a song about the incident, Jamaica Mistaica that appears on the album Banana Wind that is released.
