Well Hello From TOKYO!
I,ve just arraived in Japan for my 8 hr stay before heading back home to Houston.
If my typing is worse than ususal its because the keyboard has like at least 3 assimnets for every key.
I will try to get a couple of pictures here, but unfortunatly I will not be anywhere but the airport...

Just think another scant 19hrs.... and Ill be home!!!
I am really looking forward to seeing how much Tish has grown (Bellywise)...

Its really cool here because I am using a free internett service provided by Yahoo Japan.
I am anxious to try some food here too... mabye even some SUSHI!

The day rooms at the Airport are all booked, but there are some open couches that look inviting, perhase I will get a couple of hours shut eye... cause I cant really sleep on theplane, and I dont wan to be too wasted when I see Tish for the first time in １５　ｄａｙｓ．

Hey again..

Well although the class is going well, I am dirt tired.. All of this stuff is really beginning to wear me down, and knowing that tomorrow I will be in the air for 20 hrs (no joke), I am not the happiest camper.

Plus add some guys in Trinidad that need an 'emergency demo' for tomorrow, which means I may have to extend my trip... Ugh...

All that aside, this is a very inteesting place.. So far the local food I have tried has all been very good, and the hotel (as mentioned) below is excellent.

Already have plans for the next week, I have to fly to Dallas to give a demo.

UGH!
Anyway, tish sent me some pics of her and the ultrasound so I have one thing to make me smile.

Well Well Well!
Here I am in Jakarta. Well let me start with the Hotel (I haven't seen much of the rest of the place yet).

I am staying at the JW Marriott. It is perhaps one of the nicest hotels i have ever seen. The place is fantastic, room is huge, nice bed, bathrobes, view, everything is great. The service is fantastic, and the food is award wining (Tried the sushi !! It Rocked!).

Getting ready for tomorrows class, it should be a good one.. It gets easier everything I do it.. More material, more feedback..

I was writing to my mom and started to think about all of the places I have been since joining this company:

Cardiff
Miami
Abu Dhabi

Not bad for a year or two of travel.

As you may (or may not know) every year P & I put together a DVD commemorating the last years travels and events... And with the BABY on its way I am sure we will have a packed DVD, but I hope to have enough room for all of the crazy pictures from my travels..

Well as I was taught by the two Russian guys we met on the dessert safari...
'Na Zdorovia' which in Russian means 'To Life/Health'!!!

Well its my last several hours in Abu Dhabi - I hope to hit this place again, its been really interesting.
You will be amazed when you see all of the pictures (I've heard that the pics below dont work for some, so I will post to anothe web site).

Well Hello Again!!!

I think its Saturday... Although considering that the weekend starts on Thursday, then today is like a Monday... Confusing aint it...
So around here instead of TGIF its TGIW... Doesn't work as well does it.

Anyway the class here is over but it is very late in the evening (11:19PM) and I am still at working helping one of the guys work on installing a demo server of the software.

tomorrow (in theory) is a day of rest but I will likely have to work, and I fly out at 1:45 the next morning to Jakarta, so its like a sleep late and be prepared for another very long day of travel.

This has been fun but I am very tired. I am quite ready to be home.

I really miss Tish, the baby.. My mom, the house, and yes even the dog...

I miss the green trees, the smell of the air there, the mornings. The evenings... The walks around our yuppie little place...

were everything is comfortable, even if the world is a bit crazy.

It seems like I picked a pretty bad time to be on the other side of the world... Yesterday they hit the Saudis. And that's not too far from here.
I'm not scared, but I never know what the people here are thinking.

Hopefully they know that I am just another guy, from another place, just trying to get back home.

And a work of advice to someone you see wearing strange clothes, or a towel on their head, or a man in a long robe... Remember.. He is just a guy, from another place, trying to get back to (or at least thinking of) his home.... And that really puts things in perspective.. Give him or her a smile, it will really make their day if they are far from familiar faces.

Anyway, enough of my ranting... This is me, signing off, from the far side of the world...

Well, its the first day of the weekend (Thursday). After a night of walking/driving around the city with a couple of my commrads (one from New Zeland, the other from Australia) I called it a late evening, but did have a chance to get allot of sleep (slept till noon).

The dinner cruise was FANTASTIC, the view from the bay in Abu Dhabi on the yacht

Just returned from the Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi, its was excellent as well, not as big as the first mall, but just as nice and right on the marina, next to a hotel that was the largest I have ever seen. I was sure it was a presidential/king's palace. I was told that that was nothing, to wait for my weekend trip to Dubai, I would be staying in a hotel next to the only 7 star hotel in the world (Ill post the name later).

I have a meeting with the sales guys this afternoon, and final preparation for the class tonight.
Tuesday & Wednesday I'm teaching (remember, this is the objective of all of this)
Just to let all of you know who have never visited the region, Thursday & Friday are the weekend in the Emerates.

I will leave for Dubai Wednesday evening, and check in to the hotel there.
That leaves Thursday morning for Shopping at the Sukes near the city centre (especially the gold suke).
Then Thursday evening Ill take a car back to Abu Dhabi (2 hrs)
Friday I am going on a desert safari for several hours (which should be great).
Saturday I will finish up the last day of class and Sunday late evening fly out to Jakarta.

Day 2 in Abu Dhabi -
Last night was great,.. Went to the Mall of Abu Dhabi,.. Which makes the Houston Galleria look small...

It was fantastic, I will publish pictures later. They have just about every American shop and some I had never heard of. The even had a place called 'Seatlles best coffee' I guess they must not be able to have the name Starbucks because of some reason, but it had all of the same details and menu.

This morning I am off to another mall before going to work (it will be a late evening prepping the training room for tomorrows class).

I smoked a great Cuban cigar yesterday a great little place in the mall,.. It was excellent.

Well I'm off to begin day #2...

Well the day is almost at a close, and was pretty succesful. Tonight I will head over to the beach and the mall there for a look around. I shoul dget plent of pictures I will try to post up.

I think I will be going on a dinner cruise of the gulf (Persian Gulf not Gulf of Mexico) on Wednesday night.

And a desert tour on the weekend!! (Land Rover running fast across the dunes!)

The Abu Dhabi office is nice, the people are friendly. Now I just need to find a good place to eat diner. I heard there is great Indian food here.

Anyway - I am about to go downstairs and review the training facility.

I will try to get some pictures up here this evening if possible.

Well its the morning of the first 'offical day' and I am awake at a reasonable time (although I am still having trouble knowing exactly what 'time' is really is here, but by all guesses its around 9:30. Time to get moving. The target is to be at (the appropriate) office after noon today, and go through the introduction.

Well I'm in Abu Dhabi! After what I calculate to be 27 hours of being awake I have checked into the hotel, talked to Tish and now I am about to hit the sack.
This place is incredible, after leaving the airport we drove by the HUGE temple... I will try to take lots of shots.. Downtown is dead right now,.. But then again its like 2-3 in the AM here.
Well I am gonna sleep in late tomorrow then contact the office and get things moving.
So far these guys haven't impressed me much (the office here) - The did not send a driver to pick me up like the told me they would, and the reservations weren't set up for another couple of days event's I sent my detailed arrangements.

Oh well!!

Its been a heck of an experience and its only been the first several hours on the far side of the would!

BTW- Spend the entire flight talking to this guy from Iraq... Very interesting conversation.

So much about keeping a low profile eh?

Its been a long week prepping for the big world tour...
The virgina crew left yesterday, it was lots of fun, and a bit sad when they left knowing it may be a while until we see them again.. (by then the baby will be born!!)

SO the countdown is T-2 days.. I lift off on Friday... its should be a hell of a trip...

Well, My Dad & Step-Mom are in and we are having a great time.
Tish cooked a great meal, and we went through two bottles of wine.

Well, I missed Yesterday...
No not the blog.. I literally missed yesterday...
I went into to work to set up for the training class I will be teaching..
The only good part about it is that I got a chance to hang out with John B. (The Most Uber) & perhaps one of the brightest people I know... (enough kissing ass,... Thanks for helping me out this weekend John).

Today has been just finishing up old projects, checking out Baby Stroller #2 (THE TANK),.. And relaxing...

The grass is getting a bit high, but the Lawn guys aren't coming until Wed (the day before the VA half of the family comes in).

I need to get my VISA for Indonesia (somebody remind me please).

Still trying to work out the schedule for next week,.. biz, family, biz, baby, biz...
